In a hot, humid location like Kuala Lumpur, it's best to concentrate
on shorter distance runs in the early morning. Two popular places to
do this are the Lake Gardens west of the main train station; and the
Ampang Park adjacent to the Petronas Towers (world's tallest
buildings). Each site has rubberized tracks to minimize road shock
impact, and has their own unique advantages. At the Lake Gardens, you
can choose a hilly or nearly flat run of about 4 kilometers around
small lakes, past groomed terraces, and through light jungle. Water
and bathrooms are available. At the Ampang Park, also known as the
Klcc Park, there is a 1300 meter track, with inspiring views of the
Petronas Towers. It is a site that is 10 minutes away from many hotels.
